Alton Towers – Fun For The Whole Family

Category: Uncategorized — @ 3:16 pm

Alton Towers resort is the largest theme park in the UK. In the theme park Alton Towers has some of the best rides in the country. These include: Rita, Nemesis, Oblivion, Air and also Th13teen (not a typo by the way). Th13teen is a new ride at the park and from what I’ve heard and experienced, it is certainly one of the best. This it gives the rider everything they could want, it has steep hills, dark passages and also there is a surprise in store for the rider at the end of the ride. Be warned, you may well jump out of your skin.

Another ride in the theme park is called Air. Air is one of the only rides of its kind in the world. It gives you that feeling of being weightless and makes you feel as if you are flying, you actually do feel like a bird. Not only that but you get sent up high hill and catapulted back to earth at high speeds. Once the ride is in full flow you go through a sequence of barrel rolls before the ride comes to an end.

Rita is one of the fastest accelerating rides in the world. As you sit in the pit lane, prepared to be launched from 0-100 kph in 2.5 seconds. After this you are on your way to experiencing one of the greatest thrills imaginable. The speed is unbelievable.

Oblivion is one of the scariest rides I have ever been on. This is because you are slowly taken up what seems to be an incredibly large hill. Once you are up this hill and have turned a corner you are suspended over a drop for several seconds until you are released. The worst thing is that this drop is vertical and is over 100ft in the air. After this you are sent into a black hole and round a steep corner.

The Whether In England Is Fine

Category: Uncategorized — @ 9:47 am

I know you are about to laugh at what I’m going to say, but I believe that the weather in England is perfect and I wouldn’t swap it for the weather in any other country. This is because we have a great array of different types of weather and in my opinion I think it is great.

Firstly in summer, temperatures climb to over 25 degrees with little rain. Although this might not be as good as the weather in other European countries or those in America, it is easily good enough for you to enjoy yourselves outdoors. Another benefit is that England doesn’t have severe natural disasters whereas states in America have them on a regular basis. For the sake of a couple of extra degrees it certainly isn’t worth it. I know what I would rather have, a nice threat free life, but in foreign countries you never know when disaster is going to strike.

Recently Japan has suffered from an earthquake/tsunami and I count myself lucky, this is because in England there is a minimal threat of them. This means that our lives aren’t constantly at threat due to the weather.

Also during winter, England gets plenty of snow. Unlike other countries we get a decent amount without it going overboard. This is good as it can be enjoyed rather than feared.  Very few countries in the world get snow in winter and sun in summer so we should count ourselves lucky as we have a mixture of both.

Finally most people moan about the rain, but as far as I’m concerned as long as nothing disastrous comes of it, then what has a bit of rain ever done to anyone.

We should count ourselves lucky as we have both decent amounts of snow/sun and little rain. That is all I need and with the likelihood of there being a natural disaster, we can lie comfortable in our bed at night.
